  • Thats what I like, a lot of Wailing Down Under tonight.

What a result, What a scrum, What a pack........... Go England.

Just the thought of all those Aussies, drowning their sorrows, still
only another 4 years to wait.

The All Blacks are out, how did they manage that? I'm really disappointed.

Think there's going to be an England South Africa final, unless there's anymore upsets.

We can't be sure of that. England to beat France?? France are clear favourites with the bookies.

SA will beat Fiji. Surely. But Argentina might give them a stiff challenge.

Howabout an England v Argentina Final...

What a day for sport. I'm still laughing that we smashed Australia and then France beating NZ was the icing on the cake. The wheels came right off their campaign. They've been expecting to win it for the last 4 years and they capitulated at the first major hurdle. Brilliant! So proud of England....a real backs to the wall campaign and they came out and mashed Australia against all the odds. Brilliant stuff. It might not have been pretty but hey, we're in the semi finals! I do feel sorry for NZ and Australia, off home and 4 years to wait until they get another crack at it. How funny, they must be absolutely furious.

Who said we're miles behind the souther hemisphere teams!? What are the chances of Scotland or Fiji pulling somehing off tomorrow too!? Its so open now. England v France could go either way and if the results in tomorrows games go any other way to what is expected it could be a very interesting set of semis. SA must be quite chuffed that Australia and NZ are out as they're the favourites now but I think everyone will be looking at each other and saying...hang on...we can win this!

Wow. All we need now is for Hamilton to win in the GP and it'll be top weekend all round!
  • It doesnt surprise me that France beat the AB's again, of all the teams they seem to be able to unravel th AB's mentally: quite why the AB's continud to pick and drive after they had wasted 15 minutes wihtout result, as the French defence was superb.
  • That was a fun weekend! I missed most of the england game as Mrs Donkey had given birth at 5am and I was helping with new baby. I lost four quid on betfair with england winning but I don't mind. I've even grown out of cross code bashing and don't care that england's score is divisable by three. A win's a win, especially against the aussies :D . Shame fiji didn't get a result.
  • The most memorable moment for me was the way the French intimidated the All Blacks before the match started.

With the All Blacks doing the Haka on the Halfway line the French Team were in their faces staring them down no more than a couple of feet away. Chabal looked as though he was going to eat them alive. Wow!! What theatre!! Fantastic!!

Many congratulations Mr Donkey, hope the Missus and the new addition are doing well!

Good to see you kept your eye on the result - and your money! I was persuaded by a
mate to put a tenner on England to win the tournament despite the fact I know very little about rugby... Is my money wasted? Or is there hope now?

Congrats Donkey! What a memorable weekend for the little ones entry into the world!
    :D

Well Chris. I wouldn't write off any of the semi finalists to be honest. England have a chance just as much as SA, France and even Argentina do. I think France and SA are probably favourites but this weekend has shown that upsets do happen. You could make a few quid on your England bet! Who'd have thought that a few weeks ago!

haha, thats got me thinking now....it would be incredible if we won it again. I can just imagine the groan going up from all the nations that want to see us fall on our faces!:lol::lol::lol:
  • What an advert for the game of Rugby, 4 excellent games. I've got no nails
left, suberb display from Fiji, just goes to show you don't need special World Cup
Training Camps (as per the All Blacks).

Will Ashton go for a unchanged line up...... I hope so :D

Also excellent away result for Saracens @ Worcester, lets have a decent season
    after years of underachievement. :lol::lol::lol:

Graeme Henry to go back to Wales, at least the players would be super fit!!

The AB's must shudder when they think of all the efforts they have put into this campaign. Its been master planned for years. I do actually feel sorry for them....they have a huge monkey on their back now and have to wait four more years until they get the chance to shake it off. Not a nice position to be in.

By the way. Does anyone think that the AB's not playing in their AB shirts somehow made them seem like any other team and maybe gave the French camp a slight lift and the AB's a slight dip. They certainly didn't look so menacing in their grey kit. :?:

I had £12 left in my Ladbrokes account so dumped the lot on at 33/1. Should be a nice return if England pull it off!

Do you think England are going to win?

If not you could lay England on Betfair...

    My calcs...
    Lay £45.33@8/1.

If Eng win, you get £408 less £362.67 = £45.33.
If Eng lose you get £45.33 less £nil = £45.33.

    Either way you get £45.33...

Hey, I'm an all or nothing kinda guy!!

*Actually, previous experience has shown it's usually 'nothing' so on reflection I'll check it out! Cheers!

Well worryingly the three amigo Lewis, Pickering and Williams have just hopped on a plane to "interview" 4 possibly 5 coaches in Aus and funnily enough NZ.
  • Cheers. We might just pull this off. Hell, we've got more chance than the aussies and the kiwis  . I'd go with no change and work on the unforced handling errors this week as well as defence. France look very impressive. From what I saw of the highlights we made too many but luckily noone took agvantage of them. Farrell on the bench just in case any ex-players in the media need a scapegoat for a bad result. If only Shaun Edwards was a bit younger.

Sales of condoms have plummeted in Australia, when they realised it only takes one Johnny to fu<k 15 Aussies.

I am feeling quite bad for the AB's now. Kind of makes you want to say "Go on then, you can have it if it means so much to you". It must be pretty depressing for a nation to feel so let down. I've heard the whole country is in a state of mourning. I know we have a certain amount of expectancy in Britain with our sports teams but we're never 100% sure that we're going to win.

On the flipside alot of people are saying its time NZ grew up and accepted they have no divine right to win it. I don't know but I can certainly understand their empty feeling.

Anyway, they'll spank everyone for the next 4 years until the next inevitable dip in form so I guess we shouldn't feel too much sympathy!

Oooohhh nearly Saturday! Exciting isn't it!? Both teams unchanged after their recent big wins. Both teams up for it. No run away favourite. Should be a corker I think!

I hope you're right - and not only for the sake of my finances! I've been strangely sucked into this rugby World Cup. The look I got in the house the other day when I announced my intention to watch the rugby tomorrow was a classic! "You? Rugby?"

    Enjoy the game!

Well, from a Wales fan, all I can say is that that England team has one massive set of balls on them.

    A sincere well done fellas.

Same here, even though I'm Welsh I like it when any British team, beats a French team. An amazingly tense game.
