CSC showing no mercy. Echoes of Lance ditching Mayo on the cobbles?

Seems more like Liquigas to me. Have the organisers done a job on Vino? Looks like there are no team cars in between him and the pack...

The Astana Express is losing time to the pack! This could be a pivotal moment when we look back in two weeks.

I suppose they won't get their transfusions for a few days yet and are underpowered...

Same thing Cav was complaining about in Canterbury. Put a "barrage" in between the last riders and the bunch so the chasers can't use the team cars to get back.

    Oh - I see.

Lack of team cars might have more to do with the sprinter's autobus though maybe?

Dunno - I can't watch it till the highlights tonight..... keep me updated.

Nah, it was way before the autobus started. Flat, open road and a biiiig empty gap ahead of him.

With only one rider for company apparently. Does this mean Kloden will be the new boss at Astana?

The Astana team car was giving a lot of 'help' to Vino so I can't believe he made little ground.

    Cancellara on the attack!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this a special "let's test out the roadside grass" day and nobody told me?

Can't believe no-ones mentioned pipo pozzato. Liquigas are on the front driving for him I expect. This stage is made for him...

Was Klöden with the bunch or even farther back? I missed him completely.

Well done Skut! Good call - were you the only one to pick Pippo?

Kloden was in the bunch. He was the only Astana rider not to drop back and help Vino.

I think so - although to be fair I thought it would be a sprint from a small group a la Het Volk this year

What a great stage that was...

*The escape of Gilbert and Chavanel (how many people is he proving wrong by the way)
*The misfortune to hit Moreau, Kloden, Zabel and Vino.
    *Cancellara on that descent.
*Millar attacking in the last KM
*A photo finish between Pozzato and Friere.

    ... that was ace!

Vino will just have to make up the time. It will probably make for a more exciting race.

According to cyclingnews.com's live feed, Kloden got dropped. He crashed with Vinokourov.

Yeah - I saw that. Did Klodi manage to chase back on whilst Vino failed?

The full results are on the official site. Kloden was in the main pack. He crashed way earlier than Vino. The rider that crashed with Vino was Antonio Colom.

From what I read on there it seemed that Kloden lost even more time than Vinokourov. It seemed that the rest of them couldn't handle the chase. I'm gonna reread their live feed again though just in case I missed something.
