So today is a bit more likely to contain some entertainment in this tour.
The route is a bit more challenging that the previous days so it will be worth spending another day of my holiday in front of the tv this afternoon. Oh yes.
Valverde to win

Stealing my thunder with the race threads? Haha just kidding. Good work man. This will definately be a stage were a break sticks i think. I'd say the yellow jersey may change hands today but who knows. I'm off to dublin for a long weekend so i just hope i can catch some of the racing!0
-
Boo - Pip Gilbert is in the break and I only didn't pick him in PTP because too many others had.
Now I really hope the break fails!!

I thought you were off to Dublin today0 -
Have had a bet on Gilbert. It's a very strong break. Can they stay out for 140k?0
-
i fancied dave millar for another break today
not in it though! :evil:0 -

Duffs and Roche , they have started all ready, great stuff today I hope.
duffs chooses Moureau because he had a bottle of Chablis last night! <groan>
roche tells duffs "the finish says Autun, not Paris!!!"
has potential.

Me too. £3 at 30 to 1 this morning on Betfair before the start (he's about 3 to one now... ).__________________________________________________________________

PMSL, the look on James Richardon's face was hilarious. Wonder what the atmosphere is like when they watch the race in between the studio bits!0 -
Duffers socks are immense!0

I missed them!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to have to wait until the programme wrap now.0 -
orr mate, his shirt and socks were of a salmon pink variety
beautiful!0 -
It takes a real man to wear pink Al!!!
Dave Harmon just told me something I didn't know about how climbs are categorised.
4th, 3rd, 2nd etc... I am sure you lot all know but I was surprised to hear that it is based on the gear the car went up when the Tour organisers were planning the route!0 -
Kloden is down and injured!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
-
really?!
is there a new "HC" gear on cars these days?0 -
He looks okay. Grimacing a bit but pedalling smoothly.0
-
Dammit, I can't stand the boring sod. The Tour would be better without him and his (allegedly) doped up buddies.0
-
he was holding his back for a time
he looks alright though.
who you fancy for the win today then?0 -

I agree with you there, but he's back in the bunch now.
Caisse d'Epargne seem to be a lot more visible at the front today. The breakaway won't stay away (boo! Gilbert was my PTP choice), so maybe Karpets or Pereiro will have a dig? It's too early for Valverde.0 -
Or Burghardt...
Though maybe today will be another bunch and maybe Cav will do it. That'd be brilliant.
Not pleased to hear that Klöden went down from a PTP perspective - but of course he's pedalling smoothly - he's the smoothest rider out there.

I don't think Geoffroy Lequatre will win today...
how weird is his website btw.

Could they catch the escapees before the cat 2 climb and some other riders try to make a break on the way up there? Maybe Rasmussen would like to get the points from the first cat 2 climb? (I haven't followed cycling for very long...)0

HC, meant that they couldn't get the car up it I think.0

Hooray there are on the 2nd cat climb... bring it on!0

VINO HAS CRASHED0
-
Can't believe no-ones mentioned pipo pozzato. Liquigas are on the front driving for him I expect. This stage is made for him...0

CSC are trying to punish Astana!
