Seemingly trivial things that annoy you

You could do the fire safety videos instead to make sure you know the best approach for different types of fire.

Every week I come home on Tuesday worried about work and thinking it's all shit, and every Thursday I come home having had a good day and it's all coming together.
Every Monday I say to myself I'm not going to get sucked into the bad Tuesday vibes because it's obviously just a day of the week thing, yet every week I manage to convince myself that, this time it's different. Every week.
Ugh. Come on Rick. Sort it out.

Interviews. I'm so shit at them!

The scientific approach would be to take a few Tuesdays as annual leave and see whether Wednesdays turn out more like Mondays or Tuesdays and, if the former, whether Thursdays turn out more like Tuesdays.

Is it a recurring meeting or something? Or just natural peaks and troughs of the week.

Plan to do something exciting on Tuesday evening, then you will spend the day full of anticipation. Wednesday might be a bit shit though😉

When I tried to post a reply to Rick quoting his post, it would not post and I got a message saying as I tried to post 3 times in a short time. I now couldn’t post for 120 seconds and it still wouldn’t post after that.
Trivial and annoying.

We all have war stories.
Did you swear or fart or something like that?

Just the way the week goes. I think I spend a lot of time early in the week trying to get hold of people and getting hold of them later in the week

No, prepped well for it but I’m just terrible when I sit down in them. I know my stuff, have loads of experience and have done the role in various companies for around 10 years but when I talk I know I sound like a clueless idiot. The bit that went OK was me asking them questions, maybe it’s because I’m more used to being on the other side much more in recent years. The last couple of jobs I’ve had have been at companies started by ex-colleagues who knew what I could do so no interview needed.

Haha, I'd assumed you were the interviewer, so it took me a few moments to process your response to FA.

A decent place that did the job with an excellent chocolate brownie. The waitress forgot the client's drink though and then explained it was busy, so really our fault. That wasn't great, but I can't imagine it would happen again.

It's starting to look a bit autumnal, Now I don't mind the season but it's the thought that winters next:/ It's a bit like spring, that cheers me as it's all to look forward to as well as summer.

Lack of car door rubbing strips.
Noticed that all cars post 2016-ish no longer have a rubbing strip halfway up the door to prevent paintwork dings in car parks etc.
Is it that people no longer give any fucks if their paintwork is damaged?
Makes me most annoyed. My ancient car has lovely black plastic strips that I like.
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Pretty sure that’s the styling team at work.

Having been away for a week with the in-laws I could probably break this thread. I’ll start with just general faffing. Everything takes an age, getting up to go out, actually getting out the door, getting in the car, getting out of the car. The getting in and out of the car was particularly annoying as the drive on our cottage was narrow and it had gates that opened into the road. I therefore had to stop on a narrow road, the wife would go and open the gates and all the traffic would be stuck while they faffed about getting out. For some reason the F-I-L kept climbing out the wrong side rather than getting out on the traffic side even though nothing was coming past. To be continued…

I've begrudgingly given that a like.

They've certainly got a lot of work to do. Shame they didn't make much of a dent in it.

Was in a secondary school recently. It had a poster of famous mathematicians which did not include Newton and Euler.

Newton was lucky an apple fell on his head.

I’ll do my next one from my “holiday” - people pouring salt on their food without tasting it first. The mother-in-law always does it, she was complaining nothing was coming out even though I could clearly see it. I questioned whether she ought to have so much salt seeing as she’s on medication for high blood pressure (amongst many other issues) . Her response was that one of her medications actually lowers potassium levels, I enjoyed pointing out that table salt is sodium!

You know, Newton? She was in that musical with John Travolta.

I know you are both just trying to annoy me further with your feigned ignorance, and just so you know, it's working.
There's not enough appreciation for Newton.

A redeeming feature for Cambridge perhaps. I suspect a visit would suffice though.

True, he was one of the UK's best cyclists when I first started racing in the early 90s.
