How nice to see Kopecky and Vos not win for a change.... and great to see Kristen Faulkner take matters into her own legs.

“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

I'd have thought Vos was the Dutch's best hope on that circuit.

Probably but Vollering using herself up to bring Weibus back is a strange decision unless she already knew she didn’t have it today.

What was all of that about the organisers getting away with the gamble of using the Seine for the triathlon?

Do the Belgie's not have a reserve?

    Could Remco not do it?

I guess there are other potential sources of E. coli though. If it was the river then surely you’d expect more than one person to be affected?

Interesting as it was announced as silver initially. Even with the photo finish photo being shown on screen.....

    didn’t think it was Silver

I was surprised it even needed a photo let alone that they announced GB had silver. I missed the end of the final leg swim / start of the bike so was surprised to come back in and see her solo with a reasonable gap. It feels like a bit of a tactical error. It's a bit of an issue with the format really as anyone opening up a gap at the end of their leg leaves the next person with a dilemma on whether to push on solo or let the gap close.

I'm enjoying the climbing, but it looks like they've got these boulders dialed up a notch too far. When Adam Ondra is standing, well balanced for about 30" trying to find a grip on the top hold, before giving up and stopping his attempt with a minute and a half left then it's probably close to impossible. It wasn't any sort of dynamic move that would have been his kryptonite either, looked very much like a lead problem.

Schubert made it, the first top of the comp. He really treated it as a lead problem and had to think laterally

And I thought Toby Roberts made it, but it wasn't given. Looked good to me

Good time in the men's TP but need to see Italy and Denmark to see how it compares I guess.

Denmark completely messed up their pacing (or weren't capable of a very ambitious target). Italy just looked poor.

They were still within .45 of a second of GB. Message from inside the camp is they think their fast start will work better with another team on the track

They were over a second up on the Aussies at one point. I can see that a fast start might get you into the other teams draft but I still think they overdid it today.

You know the thing about (possibly imaginary) school sports days where everybody has to win a medal? It's like that, but world records.
