Nah, it's just he's generally closer to the chasing moto when Pogacar drops him

Pog taking the piss out of the person who threw crisps at him

I don't think he's got a career in after dinner speaking when he retires
[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0 -
He’s being interviewed in his second language.

Cav seemed to think there was, he said he rode the climb to make sure he didn’t miss the cut then got to take it easy.

He won scheldeprijs, by throwing his bike over the line past a celebrating Boonen in 2007 for T mobile within a month of me and the missus getting together and he’s always my now wife’s main interest in cycling.
Bit gutted, she’s never caught onto another rider in quite the same way.
I was explaining the podium and the race to my 5 year old today. Seems mad how gold plated this tour is in terms of major moments.

I’d add to this, a lot of the ancillary coverage, podcasts, the evening TV shows, have been massively improved by not having to schelp over to Paris - simply because they never did so they weren’t in the thick of it for the finale.
Ive much preferred if.

Ah, Danish TV2 always had people there, set up with a table with some beers for the riders, that's probably the bit that's most missing here for me - though there weren't so many Danes that finished today

Greatest podium moment ever.

One of my fondest moments is my eldest as a toddler, watching the World Championship with me on the sofa, both of us screaming for a Cavendish win in 2011. They were too young to remember it now, but we've watched a load of stuff since (they stood in the rain in Harrogate like a trooper) and a lot of it was involving Cavendish. Feels kind of funny to realise that although we're going to have loads of conversations in future about sport, "how did Cav do?" isn't going to be one of them.

lol - my then nearly two year old damn near shat herself with shock as I leapt off the sofa roaring with delight as Cavendish won that race. Thankfully she doesn't remember.

Fair to say the crowds were pretty much on a par with Paris finish. A hot and tiring day out, got some good pics that make my day look more roadside than it was. Went to the presentations zone , but it was big screens only really.
As soon as Pog went by, without commentary or internet signal, it was clear he was going to win. Insane.

It was, and this stupid forum software won't let me load the gif of it.

Can't find a gif, but here's a Youtube vid of it

I still can't believe Pog won the Giro/TDF as well as six stages in each.

Was it on here that I saw the details of the combined times of Pog and Jonas over the last 4 Tours and there was only a few seconds between them?
0 -
Yes it was linked here. It was 22 seconds prior to the TT if I remember correctly.
PTP Champion 2019, 2022 & 20230 -
Yes, but it was an embedded tweet from Daniel Friebe.

No suitable thread for this, so I might as well put it here:

Have my doubts that it is a good return on investment though. Intermarche and EF though....
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

You are going to have to explain that one. Especially in relation to Ineos and budgets.

Their entire success relies on Carapaz. The rest of the ream does not perform, with the possible and notable exception of Betiol but he can't always ride the tour.

I would say I'm not convinced we're entering a Pogcineration era as basically the Giro was a B list crew, Pog excepted, and every rival in the Tour either crashed badly very close to the tour or crashed out of it.
