Mind you, Lee Moor, with the turbines dotted around the vast, ugly quarries would be ideal, catching the SW wind.

Well you see Brian, visual impact is subjective and I quite like turquoise and white.

You must hate the black solar panels in one of the quarries spoiling that colour scene then.

Not been for a while. It's far enough from where I've set off usually that I've been either lost or in a tunnel of misery. Last time I passed, the tarmac had melted and the road was closed.

Weirdo flat capped warm beer drinkers also claim that tepid and cool are synonyms.
If you drink it actually cold, does someone with teeth missing and straw in you hair volunteer that you are doing it wrong?
You know, like with whisky and gingers.

People are free to drink it at whatever coolness they like... just to me too warm is just yuck, and too cold means you don't get all the flavours.

Little bit of a trip from Tavistock, but you might enjoy Lyme Bay Winery.

It would appear that Badenoch hasn't got the memo about showing a tiny bit of contrition about their loss. Also not a great look to smugly use ad hominems and confirm that they've got a thing about Rayner.

It would be an horrendous error for the Tory Party to make Badenoch leader.
I do hope they do it

Odd that nearly entire parliamentary Tory turned up for that debate.

I think the "Right Honourable Lady" referred to was Atkins. FWIW, I think Atkins is some sort of satirist - I can't think of any other way to explain her.
At present the Tory Party is a hot screaming mess. I don't think anyone's in charge, they're all vying for visibility for the post-Sunak era, and they still haven't realised why they were booted out. If they were a class of mine, I'd be telling them to go away and reflect, individually and as a group, and only to come back when they had some sensible answers as to why most people hate them. Any answers that tried to blame others for their fate would be met with a "No, that won't do. Go away again, and come back when you've managed to be honest with yourself".

God, I'd forgotten this one. 'Condescending' doesn't come close. She obviously doesn't know what contrition is.

Badenoch is up before her and Atkins seems to lose the run of herself as a result.
Maybe, like Labour with Corbyn it's just something they have to get out of their system
It's notable that Patel has been much more restrained post ministerial brief

Judging by the comments about Badenoch on here, sounds like she might be a good choice of leader.

Is it a good time to sign up to the Tory party?
I believe someone scuppered the Labour Party using this method. 😉
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
Suspect they will go through a series of managers before they win the next title. Ironic parallels to Chelsea, Stevo.

She'll do great. Then in a while they can choose who will lead them into the next election.

Extending the metaphor, each time they'll continue to pay for the previous one

Also relied to much on Russian money.

And hoped an American would bail them out etc

Stadium infrastructure lags behind local rivals.
This is quite a good analogy.

Winning the Champions league for the second time in 2021 wasn't too long ago.
There is a question of timing and it may be good strategy to let someone take over in the short term.

Have never been sure why some people seem to think so highly of Badenoch. She's so obviously a bullshitter.

Same reply as to FA above on timing...

I love the idea that they think their comments are anything like water off a duck’s back to Rayner. Does anyone think she’s got where she is today by getting upset by people attempting to put her down? I don’t like her politically but admire her all the same.

I agree Rayner is pretty thick skinned. Given time, the person most likely to bring her down is herself, now that she has been given enough rope....

Boris was a bullshitter but he won an 80 seat majority.
