I think that's just hype. Personally I don't think he stands a chance.

Skjelmose says he sees Pog, MvdP and himself on the podium. Doesn't know which order yet

Stevie Williams is 3rd favourite, which goes to show what a season he's had so far.
In fact, just checking the PCS Season Ranking (points from 1 Jan) he is 8th, ahead of Remco!

Isn't the finish fairly flat ? So anyone looking to win it is likely to need a bit of a sprint.
I'm interested in what Ben Healy does - after last year he hasn't been able to get out of the peloton. Is it just that he's not being given as much rope, he's got his tactics wrong or a lack of form? I know he's done some work on the front for his team but this week must have been a target for him.

I think anyone who has shown they can finish top ten in this race previously, has to be considered to have a chance. Given how much he's improved since then, I think his chances are good but I still think Pogacar is justifiably the stand out favourite.

LBL just got a touch harder

33/1 at hills.
Nice interview with him in the Times.

More surprising is that Pog doesn't get 5.

"If anything the weather is a serious factor and for him and everyone else, a potential rival so he’s only a four-chaining pick below"
They make a sensible point though. The weather forecast is so bad no one is a certainty.

Catch-up on LBL? Race begins at La Redoute, 35 kms to go. Race finish begins at 13 kms to go.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

From 13 kms out, I'd say so.

From TeamAlpecin:
Fun fact
Mathieu Van der Poel is the first rider to finish on the podium of Ronde van Vlaanderen & Paris-Roubaix and Liège-Bastogne-Liège the same season since his father Adrie in 1986!

I wholeheartedly agree.
At least we have the Giro to look forward to, where the favourite is at odds of 2/9. The second favourite is 38 next month and the 4th favourite is a 36 year old who has won two world tour races (both stages). 2004's status as the worst Giro in recent memory is under threat.
