Nice start, poor finish to the day. Sunny -> Cloudy -> Windy -> Rainy.
Took Mum out to shops then lunch. Trialled new rowing machine this arvo, seems to be a decent alternative to riding the turbo for a change.

Piña was right in the first part of his assessment of my location, the only company I had was the EPO and a cup of tea.
Wanted to quote B³ saying "V old" with an indignation, but it seems you can only quote the entire post and not edit bits out.
Bit of pottering to be done. The lad is frying up leftovers, I need to fettle my bikes as there are jobs to be done on 3 of them. Has Seano found his QR spindle nut?

common size is m5 x 0.8 pitch, if the thread matches it'll be ok (i'd avoid simple m5 nuts on a qr, might not be deep/strong enough)
the springs aren't essential, they just help keep the open qr positioned to slot more easily into the dropouts, no issue leaving them off

Afternoon
A very slow start to the day. Myself and Mrs W were planning to go for a walk on the North York Moors but a look at the forecast scuppered that plan. I did manage to do some climbing after I gave myself a talking too for being a lazy sod, now back to being a lazy sod.

I've got a few knocking around, come and get one if you want. Tried to attach pictures of a Campagnolo, Shimano, Bontrager, unbranded and Novatec QRs from my spares drawer, but it says validation failed 🙄

And this orra loon now with a pirate patch has escaped the op theatre.
An interesting afternoon, I was last in scheduled line, fine as I could not get there for 9am, and there was an old dear emergency to get treated. Interesting as in look at all this tech as I'm lying prone, and listening to the surgeon and assistant discussing 70s style rock bands interspersed with this device on, device off, laser on etc.
A lot of work done, no pain, mild discomfort; and a lot of lasering towards the end. I think they moved the lens to get at the post-bacterial shite then put it back and sealed. Surgeon pleased with the outcome, it went well for him, so I'm hoping 🤞that I do start to recover vision in that eye. It's been a rough time since the mid August catástrofe.
