    I also fell off about 1 minute from my house :) A car couldn't make it's mind up when I was at a junction, couldn't get out my cleats in time, and boom! on my bum! ha
    Top tip: loosen the tension in the clip springs on the pedals so that they grip the cleats with the minimum force required not to fall out of them. Then you'll find that when you yank your foot in a panic, it'll come loose and save you lots of embarrassment.

    I avoided at least five or six embarrassing clipless moments that way before I finally got used to them.
