You've made that linkage. tyler hamilton did that, and it happens that he was a doper. it also happens he had a broken bone (or more). the linkage is broken bones surely, whether they took drugs or whatever in my view is irrelevant....

Meanwhile Danny van Poppel being a chip off the old block (his father) Jean-Paul van Poppel who I clearly remember in the 1987 TDF winning the Green Jersey with that fantastic lead out train "Superconfex".
Did you notice Danny at the back with the barriers on his right, then switch behind Degenkolb and saw no way through, so then came right over to the left for the clear road to unleash his winning sprint.

It was just a comparison with another contender in a grand tour that also rode with broken bones. Nothing more.
