  On Shimanos there is usally an allen head screw inside the lever pivot, this is the reach adjuster. Never worked on the 485 but I know they are on all Shimanos I have ever worked on.

  Perfect. Thank you. I'm now no longer scared I'll stab someone if I ride into them (that and I can reach the levers to stop. Always a bonus )
