to be honest, i cant be mad, i'm glad i didnt hurt myself, and for that i am grateful.
the way i look at it, if its covered under warranty, fine, if its not then i will be getting stressed.
Over the years i have broken bike bits, wheels etc, but this is the first carbon frame, broke an ally frame this time last year, but that i put down to it being old and fatuiged.
Whats funny about this fail is i wasnt doing anything stupid, or gnarly or even on rough ground!
The other bike see's far more abuse than this one.

is the lefty the correct size for that frame?? if the travel is bigger than recommended max it could have put too much stress on the tubing

    ahhh righty ok ya.

wasnt trying to blame you mate just thought if that was the case then at least you had some idea as to why it could have failed.

how are things going with getting a refund/replacement?

China is on holiday apparently, so i gotta wait until the 3rd when they get back. i'm in no rush to be honest, i got Beyonce to keep me company.

Why it failled? no idea, it shouldnt of basically where it has, no jumping, no rocks, just straight forward XC, i've ridden through that trail and mud (in a lot worse conditions) on all my other bikes, never an issue other than smelly mud

    onwards

What's the problem like? Looks like you already fixed it in the last photo. Could probably do with some gafffer tape to make the repair more permanent though

I wouldnt be pissed off if that were my frame, I'd be happy that buying a cheapo Chinese frame that some factory had copied off someone else hadn't killed me. From here looks like you got away with it!

Good way to go about it, unlucky that the bike snapped but lucky come out all okay, could of ended worse. Sad your bike-less but hopefully you can get something sorted soon.

That might be a good thing in some ways - do you think you'd ever have total confidence in the frame again? I'm pretty sure I wouldn't after it failed so catastrophically for no apparent reason.

true, what I built it for, im hardly doing, so it just makes sense to free up some room
