Now, forgive me if I'm wrong...

... but this makes seems like the worst argument for suspension ever...
its not 4bar, faux link is 4 bar and all though types of bikes. this is VPP, just wasnt going there to keep things simple, there are only 3 links out there any way, NO MATTER how they are worded or marketed, there is vpp, link drvien single pivot and single pivot

the tool in question later states and i quote...
all physics and test data from all companies show this is a bad idea, a rearward axlepath with idler is by far THE BEST arrangement for any full sus frame. no matter then application.

Completely irrelevant, but I can't actually believe this guy is for real!

    I don't know what you're complaining about. He has an orange 5. They're the bestest most good bikes with simply the most brilliant suspension platform in the world that does everything perfectly ever ever ever no arguement hands down. How dare you disagree with him.

    Ask him where he plans to put the idler, what size is the cog and what chainline he is using when calculating anti squat? Or is he just guessing it is better?

    Haha, my theory is, if you can ride well on a bike that's not that amazing, you can ride well on anything! (and i didn't pay silly money for this new one either, before you say anything, sod paying brand new orange prices)

    Hijack post here, but can anyone tell me about the bike stand pictured on that facebook link?

    Looks a simple design that may not cost the earth, and just what I'm looking for.

    Anyone know where I can get one, or anything similar?

    Yes at 40 quid, it does seem a little expensive for what it is, I'm trying to avoid paying out much more for one of those proper stands, although to be fair, they are better value for the money than that simple piece of metal.

    Think this calls for one of those home made D.I.Y attempts, I'm sure I can make something similar. :wink:

    essentially re-routes the chain, from what I understand, like the empire ap1 or K9

    Its an extra jockey wheel positioned on the chain stay to counter act against chain growth. The only example I know of is the Corsair Marque but im no bike geek so there maybe loads of them.

    There is a bit more info here:

    *edit- doesn't have to be on the chain stay, as per Lawmans example above.

    interestingly had two decent rides on the corsair... it was absolutely shite!

    Though, as a jockey above the chainstay will fulfil a completely different role to one underneath, it's sensible that they have different names - I'd call one below a chain tensioner. One above changes the chain line and anti-squat characterisitcs.
