Just when I thought Specialized were starting to look like nice bikes.

Looks like Bertie's paint guy took some tips from Lance's paint guy.

    I quite like.
A bit fussy, but the colour-scheme is good.
It's usually the Italian brands that go bananas with the paint and decals...

I guess so - Yellow and White @ Tour, Pink @ Giro. He's also won the Gold @ Vuelta hasn't he (but not on the bike?).
I think the Red must be Spanish TT Champs?

Not even close. Very big difference between in your face and subtle.

"Replicas of these frames will be sold in limited quantities this summer at Specialized S-Works dealers, giving diehard fans the chance to own the ultimate souvenir"

    One for you FF?

They could have tried a bit harder with the ergo levers.

That's about as subtle as a heart attack.

His Trek (except for the Trek logo) was much more subtle:

To be honest, that spesh is minging.

FFS, even the Trek is nicer. Although I am a sucker for the white frame + white spoke combo.

  • that is a lovely ride, its pretty subtle compared to Pozzato, Sammy Sanchez ,Hincapie, Cadel or one of Lance's horrific efforts!

Before you know it, custom frames will be like coloured football boots, all riders will have them. Even the most anonymous of domestiques. I can see it know, the likes of Geraint Thomas sporting a frame with dragons all over it or some other such dreadful custom design.

I blame Bettini for all this with his gold helmet, shoes, stripes aplenty...........

What's with the head tube? It looks clumpy
  • What's with the head tube? It looks clumpy

i think its the specialized logo on the front of the headtube, the white of the logo + hte white of the garage door means it looks like part of the bike's missing, so the headtube looks, in your words, "clumpy"

No, but even where the down tube meets the top tube, it looks... friggin weird!

Its hideous the forks and seat stays look like they have been done by some nursery kid let loose for the day with some insulating tape . What with his naff adverts and naff shoes and now this ghastly steed Bertie will have the style Police after him.

It seems the Spanish style police felt there was no case to answer so he's gotten off scot free.

You're all talking about it and associating Specialized with the world's number one rider. Job done for the teenager on work experience in the paint room

LOFL. I guess you have SFA to say about his racing so you try and have a go at anything you can. Clutch at straws you typical haters. Haha.

But this isn't a thread or discussion about his racing style. It's a thread about his bike.

Don't hate because your opinion isn't the most popular one.

Nothing wrong with his racing. Just a shame his bike is still fugly.
