Where were you planning on going around manchester? I might join you if I'm back by then

Gotta warn you, the speed ain't fast. But if I come, I'll try my best to get those boys to do some work.

I was a bit worried by the idea of redddraggon coming because he sounds like he might be a proper rider, but if you're going Corrie I'm really worried. Not sure i can MTFU that much

Says the man who didn't bother to change down going up hill :D:D

    Ever.

I was thinking something like a 25-30 mile ride, taking in the famed Fallowfield loop ??? 8th Nov ?

I know speed wasn't important, but I am interested in what you averaged over the Derbyshire ride was as I struggle to get over 12mph on a 25 to 30 mile ride. I would like to do the Manchester ride but do get worried about holding everyone up badly.

If a ride after the Manchester one is wanted, I have a nice route around Stafford I could suggest.

I used to do a 50 miler around Stafford (looped over Cannock chase) when I was a student there) there are some good routes to be had.

We averaged less than 13mph when doing the Deryshire run... it really was just a group having a natter and enjoying the company

Sounds Ok to me Gaz - I can do 8th Nov - should have some faster tyres by then so I won't have any problems with small pink bikes :)

Mr Burns is a sick person

don't worry about it, riding in a group is easier and it probably won't be a non-stop ride anyway. As KB said it was more of a natter & ride, Cori & I even forgot to speed down a hill coz we were talking

Fairly certain I can't do the 8th :( so it will have to be the next one for me

+1 on the Stafford ride (depending when it is). Would do the Manchester ride, but a bit far to travel :(
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

You can talk and cycle????? Blimey. :(

I was thinking early Jan 2010 for a Stafford ride. I don't suppose people will be able to do one in December...too much Christmas shopping. Would people like a mostly flat (about 300m worth of climbing) or something more challenging?

Have we got a route of the Manchester ride? I can do the 8th Nov.

I'll attempt to get to the Manchester ride, assuming I can get a train up.

I'll probably be on a fixed gear for it, so not too much climbing please!
