Ultegra crankset
Hi there
I've just bought an ultegra triple (lots of hills round here!) and bottom bracket set, and it came with a plastic cap to screw the pedal crank on, and also a shim. Any idea what the shim is for? Is it necessary? If so, what side should it go on?

Goes between the bb cup and the frame shell. Can be used to adjust the chainline or deal with narrow BB shells. Last frame I fitted didn't need it.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0
