As per the title - Just wondering if there is anyone else here in the forces?
I'm a Mover in the RAF, currently supporting the Herrick airbridge in Minhad. 30 degrees during the day - not too shabby for febuary!

He is in some kind of specialist unit. I think he went start of the year and his term there was 3 months.0 -

Best get used to this view.
Most of the work involves being stuck on a mexifloat, It was not really for me and to be honest I think you can get more out of being a Port op, you certainly get more qualifications for when you come to leave. It's not a ornament, so ride It0 -
im not yet but wiil be in a week0

Don't worry If you are anywhere near a rocket attack on a mexifloat, you know things have taken a turn for the worst and It's all gone pear shaped. It's not a ornament, so ride It0 -

I work for QinetiQ (technically the MoD), and I'll be working at Marham in a couple of weeks time, is it worth taking the bike?0 -

anyone who can hit such a small target with a rocket is a major concern. they usually fail to hit the COB, which is a pretty big target.0 -

I may or may not be something to do with the armed forces, looking at where I currently live. I also may or may not be leaving my bike locked up in my garage for 6 months as of Monday. Too many mines to enjoy the massive DH potential!0

actually, on second thoughts, i think he was RLC. sorry to offend your cap badge!
he was awarded the George Cross for his work on Telic, and a posthumous Bar for Herrick.

no offence taken, thats a terrible bit of news.
in other news though, my previous barracks were attacked last night and 2 were killed and 4 injured in antrim, northern ireland.
i am completely gob smacked, thoughts go out to the families involved.0 -
Extremely saddened by the news. No need for that, those blokes had nothing to do with Op BANNER. Thoughts are with 38 Regt, not what you need just before going to the sandbox.0

poor buggers, the way it went down must have been terrifying and a real morale smasher for the rest of the guys waiting to go out to afghan. hope the remaining 4 pull through.0
