Juicy 3 help

Hi all, since Ive had my avid juicy 3's, the levber travel is immesnse and wont stop me until the lever hits the bars. I know some people are going to say, bed them in, but when you can hardly stop its kinda hard to bed them in LOL. Anyone know any tips and tricks to sort this out?
Cheers

Even if you use the proper bleed kit, there are still areas at the back of the caliper where air can hide. So remove the caliper, place it so the bleed port, (banjo connector) is uppermost, and follow the standard bleed procedure.
It works too. I've done 5 sets since I got this tip, and 2 of them were working ok before I bled them. But I still got some air out of them, and the feel improved at the lever quite a bit.
P.S. I've also used this technique on Hayes El Caminos and it worked.

Fantastic brakes now they're up and running, such nice feeling levers and good modulation, leagues ahead of my Tektro Aurigas and old Hayes Sole.
