The forum chat is now closed. A huge thanks to Scott Sunderland for taking the time to answer all your questions, especially after such a big result on Sunday. And thank you to everyone who took part today. See you next time!

There were a lot of things to take in consideration. Bjarne's main worry was the continuation of the team; with or without Ivan Basso.
Team CSC and Riis Cycling employ more than 70 people. Something like what happened to Ivan before last years Tour, puts everybody's job in jeopardy. Bjarne made this decission knowing very well that Ivan might go on and win the Tour for another team. Hindsight hasn't come into it as yet; let's wait untill the Fuentes mess in Spain is totally cleaned up...

Hello Scott,In hindsight was it a good Idea to let Ivan Basso go.

Is Jens Voigt a legend in real life? He seems a brilliant, dedicated athlete with the ability to "bury" himself for the benefit of the team.

How would you go about finding a replacement for this Aussie trained athelete in the future? Any one in mind for the sad day when Jens retires to be the super domestique?

I just love it when Phil Ligget says "...and Voigt has gone off the front and the peleton is dis-organised in its attempt to real him in..."

You know he is hurting but he is hoping to pull another one of the bag. Solo. He deserves another stage win this year!

    Hi all,

Scott will be back on the forum to answer more questions in August. He is a tad busy in London at the moment.
