That is officially the wettest I've ever been in my whole life! ( and that includes all trips to swimming pools/ rivers/...the sea!!!)
Was cool though.[8D] Shame to miss the view at the top.

Aye, it was a great morning, apart from the drenching.

Caddon Bank was particularly fast with all the standing water and I was chuffed to manage all the drops, including the mental last one.[8D]

Note to self: Remember fresh riding gear to allow a spin round GT on way back.

I really enjoyed it today, the old XC bit that I took instead of the top of Caddon bank was excellent, very misty and loads of roots to slide over (was a bit like the Pie run but downhill[:)])

Inners really is excellent fun, even with the zero visibility at times.

Glad you all had fun this morning.
John and me were thinking of you as we sat in the hub having a cup of tea waiting for the rain to pass, before eventually venturing out for a rather damp ride around the red.

The last drop is surprisingly "easy" as long as you commit with enough speed and keep your weight back. Its taken me about 6 trips to pluck up the courage to attempt it. The fact that it is on a steep hillside makes it look worse than it is.

Timed it really well with the weather; it rained as we drove over to Aberfoyle and dried up as we got closer, never rained once as we rode, and the clouds dropped their contents just as we got back to the cars four hours later!

I have a fear of bracken from getting lost over my head when I was a kid. I hate that smell you get on damp warm days fighting through bracken with flies buzzing in your ears! [xx(][:(]
