Finally got new pics of the rejuvenated Zaskar LE! Taken a while, but here she is:

Zaskar

Weighs between 22 and 23 lbs on my dodgy scales, pretty happy with that given the tough frame and Xmax enduro wheels, and other sturdy parts. Tyres weigh a lot, and may swap the fork for a Pace RC31 to drop it under 20lbs, yet will still take a battering!

B E A Utiful [:D] dodgey scalles then so mroe like 30lb [;)] Loving the gold ring and some pace forks would be beaut. It need discs though [:(]. Very reto though [:D] Enjoy!!!

They are cast indeed, but all I have for now. Might splash out 10p on the plastic ones.

red stuff is carbon wrap to protect the frame.

Very nice indeed.

Im in the process of rebuilding an old Saracen frame up.
She's going to be a full rigid though.....

Seat clamp was copper, but fading nicely to gold! The bike is now how I very nearly want it: tough, light and fast.

I personally think it looked better with the Judy's on and the old crankset, it's looking a bit mish-mashed now [:P]

Get rid of the red stuff and ditch all the random stickers and it might look ok.

I hope you don't weigh more than 10st soaking wet, as those forks will flex all over the shop!

Oh, the stickers need redoing, but I don't really care. It rides really good, and I love it. Cost me hardly anything to put together. Got the original bike for 400 quid, and the latest round of upgrading cost me about 300. Thats for the forks, crossmax wheels and drivetrain, bars, saddle and stem. Forks flex, so may go for the Pace option.

I like it a lot but I will admit to a soft spot for Zaskars. Strangely I never liked the look of them a couple of years ago, but then they really grew on me.

Scott, yeah, getting out a bit, been on the Ruckus more lately though, hope to get a few miles in tonight. Very wet here though, the riding spots are like quagmires.
