Just new to this lark and have been commuting to work and back (4 miles to and 10 miles back )for the last few week, 3 -4 times a week and have got cramp in the left calf on a number of occassion.
No idea why. I'm over doing it, quiet a good level of fitness due to five aside and running.

I used to cramp when I drank plain water on fast rides. Since I started on Isotonic stuff I dont cramp.
I just get knackered!

you need some salts to reduce cramps.
my freiend always got very bad cramps, the doctor told him to drink lots of fluids before riding and also get some recovery salts.Alex0
