Are you just going out with some mates to do your own thing or are you doing something organised?

dont suppose thats too bad then. how easy is it to find the trails? is it like the trail centres here where they are signposted or do you just wander around and see what you can find?0
-
Yep mine also cost œ500 all in.
Other costs are insurance, bike bag, extra spares for your bike and extra cycling clothing.

Many of these holidays include guiding all week so someone shows you where to go.

who did you get your insurance with cos im off out to see my mate in whistler at the end of the month and it would be very rude not to take my bike0

The Alps will test everything you know about bikes, it's just so extreme. I've had severe brake fade a few times and the tyres I took were new and came back bald. Even my shock and forks got warm with all the work they had to do. So take two pairs of tyres.

It's costing me about œ260 because I've booked accomodation and transfers for œ160 and an Easyjet debacle, sorry flight for œ100. But I already have annual multi-trip insurance and I've no guides or anyone to pay because I'm doing the Passportes event (another 36 euros to add to the total).
As for brakes and tyres, I'm putting some new Michelin Mountain A/T triple plys on and have put 203/180 rotors on in anticipation of heat.

I'm running 180/180 as well, new ceramic brake pads should suffice.
