Hamish,
What year Enduro are you looking at? I've just got a large 04 expert, if you're out on the longest day ride have a blast if you want. (OT: Can we persuade everyone to finish at the Grey Horse? [:)])
Lovely bike, can't really fault it. It's a bit heavy on the climbs, but with a set of tyres that'll roll pretty well, it'll go alright and fly downhill.
I also ride an 06 Rockhopper, it's recently become my commuter but I've not had the heart to take the knobbly tyres off it yet. I feel it's still got several years left in it as a mountain bike and don't want to relegate it to tarmac only.

Sadly I'm in Germany that day and won't be on the longest day ride [:(]
I'm looking at an 05 frame (the six-incher) with an 06 swingarm and DHx Air shock.
Thanks for the offer, but I've ridden StuW's 04 enduro before - it's a nice bike but I wasn't able to appreciate it properly. It was at Carron Valley and there it certainly wasn't as nippy as my stumpy and I've got better brakes than his, which added to things a bit.

Was thinking of getting some Pikes as I'm finding the Fox Talas a little flexy so I could be getting rid of them soon. The rest of my new found wealth will go towards coverting my current home office in to a nursery and furniture for it, the garage in to my new home office and maybe a nice holiday before the the wife's cut-off date for flying.
Might have enough left over for some nice new bars, well remebered that man!
Easy come easy go.

When`s the new addition due then and do you know boy or girl yet?

Should be in time for Crimbo.
Not going to find out this time, the wife didn't want to last time but I did so she spent 6 months bugging me about it until I caved in and told her, only to then be told that I ruined the whole thing.
Hopefully we'll be blessed again and like our daughter, the new arrival will not get it's looks from it's father.
