paris hilton was ill apparently!! but the big brother thing wasnt even aired!! it was censored, defeats the object of being live in E4!! ah well she makes one comment of off she goes!! at least they have taken action this time and not just ignored it like the jade incident or 2 or 3

big brother really sums up whats wrong with this country today its " oh my god , somebodys used the n word ,someone used the p word and its breaking news on bbc breakfast telly. the same channel want to show the future king of englands mother s fatal car crash aganinst the princes wishes and thats ok. channel 4 should hang their heads in shame.

Hey, go easy on Chanel 4, after all, they did cancel W**k Week - a week dedicated to masturbation (one for Fozzy[;)]) and also a programme on the fictitious assassination of George Dub'w Bush - that may of given too many people ideas.

I was forced to sit and watch last night's show where they actually broadcast the "incident" (bloody Heidi... Grrrr). Took them 7 hours to do anything about it and that was only after the munter that said it didn't matter kept going on and on and on and on about it. Straight after it happened she was guilty of it herself, saying "I can say n***er cos I am one". Surely that in itself is racist. If it's a racial slur it shouldn't only be limited to white people

It wasn't set up!! The silly posh girl Emily clearly used a word that she uses in her everyday life, probably around all the other posh white girls she has been brought up with, I think BB were right to bin her, I personally do find that a racist word, however, I also think that she-man Charley realised (after a while as she is sooo thick) that she could get some sympathy out of it and continued to chat about it for the next 7hrs. Anyway, I think the debate should be that why is ok for black people to call other black people the N word and why every other race is excluded, if a white person says it it's racist, if a black person says it it's an affectionate term.
That aside - I am soo loving Big Brother it's fab!!!

been here before on the racism thing, Its a set up, plain and simple, loud and clear. They get these different people in there because they are individuals and have different personality's and backgrounds, they know people aren't going to get on but then get rid of someone because she uses a word that she personally see's nothing wrong with. ITS A SET UP

It appears to be the ironic use of the N word by blacks that has become a part of ghetto culture in the USA and it's made its way over here. Plenty of older black Americans are still offended by the word, understandably given it's roots. I think it's very different for one group to (over)use it, almost as an attempt to nullify it's meaning when it directly relates to them and turn it into a term od endearment. For amyone else to try and jump on board in an attempt to either 'be cool' or 'understand their plight' is pretty foolhardy, particularly if they're stupid enough to go on BB.

From what I've heard/read I'm not so sure that she was actually being racist. I think she was just being incredibly stupid in a vain attempt to appear cool.

I think there should be a more severe penalty - I suggest executing everyone in the house, the production team, Davina Fckuing McCall and all the viewers. It's only fair. [;)]

I totaly agree with Hamish. It is stil deemed offensive, I was bought up knowing that it is a racist word, all i'm saying is that it can also be used instead of saying my friend etc people will say "my N" so it seems to be all about context.
BB had to get rid of Emily because of Shila Shi**y, I don't think she meant it to be racist, just really really stupid.
