I can't go. I'm now working this weekend [:(]
However, I have successfully swapped shifts so I can go off to the Alps with Dr Stu, Jonny and Stu555 next month instead! [:D][:D][:D][:p]

I'll join you on Saturday morning.
Would love to also join the Alps trip but cash flow aint what it should be [:(]

Think I might be along on my HT on Saturday, RM is going in for a new BB and possibly headset and not sure I will be able to collect it before Saturday.
Should be interesting as I have never done Inners on a HT before.

If I were you, I'd do all that I could to collect your bike before then, Dave. Inners on a HT will make you feel like you have entertained the Village People, come Sunday morning. [:0][:X]
Where do you put your bike into for work to be done on it, as a matter of interest? [?]

Bunch of lightweights, tsk. [:p]
The only, only place I would ever wish for a full-sus at Innerleithen is the last section (from the shortcut round to the Southern Upland Way) of the climb up to Minch Moor.
Can only assume that in order to come up with that analogy, Derek has actually 'entertained' The Village People... [;)]

I am actually thinking of taking it anyway, last few rides I think I have been quite lazy taking lines that I couldnt do if I was on a HT. Buying a light bike with good shock/fork is great but can take the fun out of it a bit sometimes (if you are a lazy git like me).
My Ht has an old knackered 80mm Marzocchi Air fork which could make things a bit more interesting[}:)]
Then again I will probably wimp out on Saturday morning and bring my FS killing machine[:D]

Ah, yup; knackered old 80mm forks could indeed make it 'interesting' - point taken! And that was what Derek had, on his old Orange, last time I was there with him.

Solution: Just air the entire rock garden - that shouldn't be too hard, after all there is a ramp to launch off at the entrance and your fun ruining suspension should soak the rest of it up.
Not that you should really need it anyway. I'll bet GW could do it on his daughter's bike.

LOL. Proper riders know what that is. If you can find one then maybe you can ask them.
It's different from when you do a jump - which is usually when both wheels leave the ground for a fraction of a second, and for no more than a few inches. [;)]

You didn't read that properly Dave - I said 'fraction of a second' and not 'a few seconds'. You'd need to take your bike onto a plane to get that sort of airtime.

Dave - you know you were saying a few weeks ago that someone with whom you work (former boss?) lives a few doors along from us? (Am sure it was you I was having that conversation with...)
Last night an Audi delivery truck pulled up at their drive and off-rolled a brand-new TT... very nice, I must admit. Much more of a masculine shape than the old 'hairdressers car' shape.

Yeah, she is on pretty good cash. Car like that will be no probs as she also did well out of her Flat sale in Edinburgh after moving out to your bit.
Nice car, not what I would choose for the cash but very nice to drive. Someone else I work with bought one a few months back, he much prefers it to the older shaped one.
