WE have had our input... frankie and we HIGHLY stressed exactly that.. even the MBUK boys agreed that WMTB forum and MBUK forum are different people.

Cazz and my comment was you make different mags for the groups you should have different forums.. it's down to WhatMTB to take the comments on board and action correctly..

I totally agree. The market is different, and this forum a lot friendlier (though a lot of the MBUK muppets have been kicked, nick is doing a sterling job). But allt he same its different.

This forum is much less rage inducing, and I get fewer impulses to be very silly here, case in point:

On MBUK there was a topic about fitting grips, I immediately went to man juice, on here I went to hairspray/lockons.

from the general convo your login will do exactly that one login and you can access mbuk and wmtb.. (that was the general idea originally although that could have changed a lot).

your all worrying about something that HAS not happened yet and all guess what "might" happen. I was at the meeting and gave ideas and comments and EVEN then they were not sure of which direction they were going to take. the guy at the helm is an experienced chap. they listened to our comments, pass over their ideas and were welcome of honest comments back..

don't get your war drums out yet....... the chiefs hadn't even decided if we are going to be loving neighbouring villages or warring factions yet.....

It will be terribly short sighted if they can't see the different types of MTBers each forum attracts, can't say I'd feel 100% about going across.

Plus if its been posted on MBUK then why not also on WMTB

fair play to steve (i think) who invited us to meet up and talk about the forum and their ideas..

Ironically the DO want what is best (less how do i do this or what bike should i get, they want the resources of the mags in your hands.. for example CURRENTLY a bike reviewed in MBUK will not come up on a search of the whatmtb site but personally i wouldn't read any less into a bike reviewed by mbuk then whatmtb, so they want a search to pull up ANY mag that reviewed that bike etc. The workshop guides etc.)and even by their own admission they didn't quite see the split in mbuk and wmtb they took the time to understand.

i have said FAR to much already and already live in fear of getting a RIGHT bollocking.. trust me though.. they DO have the best intentions and have taken the time to speak to some of the members.

all i'm saying is give peace a chance [:)]
