New chain, swapsies?

I don't know what the difference is, and I'm not convinced there's appreciable wear to my current HG-50, but I'm having a new one for peace of mind.

I'm loathe to 'upgrade' my cassette because I have serious doubts as to the material difference in e.g. an XTR compared to the HG-50. Sure, there's titanium this and alloy that, which saves some weight. I'm not a weight miser, I'd rather stuff just lasted a long time instead

I wouldn't mind a Ti nitrided cassette, but I'm not paying œ350 for one!

I've just replaced two cassettes - one on my own bike and one on a bike that someone at work asked me to service. I paid œ21 for the LX 9-speed for my own bike and œ4.99 for the Alivio 8-speed on the other bike. (I don't want them paying out too much). I reckon both cassettes will do the same job. I'll be watching!

I run a SRAM PC991 Hollow Pin chain Saz - loverly, smooth and just in case you give a monkeys - lightweight too!

Just remember to get a good lube - for the chain *[:I]*

I've actually got to go and fetch the flapjacks from the sorting office on Saturday! Good job it's on my way to the LBS. Saz baked so many they wouldn't fit through my letterbox [:)]
