Who's stil up for this ?

I'm still good, slight concern over my rear wheel as it's making noises it probably shouldn't be, I'll try and take it out today and see how it is. Everything feels solid on it, nothing appears to be loose so not sure what the cause is yet.....Can you fit spare wheels in a camelbak[:D]

    Hi
I have just moved into the liverpool area, Formby to be exact. I am looking for any desent rides around here, its quite flat but I can travel about an hour away,(not to far at the moment as we have a new baby, but i like to get out on the odd weekend if I can! Any ideas would be most appreciated.

    Cheers....Drew Bear

If you fancy a short blast try the Fishermans path. It runs between the Coastal Road at Ainsdale ( just by the railway bridge ) and Freshfield train station. If you're in Formby, cycle down the side of the train station car park and just keep following the line until you come to an unmanned crossing. Cross over and thats the start of the path. It's not the longest route but if you're after a quick fix it certainly does the trick.

If you want a nice gentle ride get onto the cheshire lines path off moss side look for the transpennine route sign turn north under the bridge go over the brook and look for a right turn down the bank follow this track for about 0.5 mile till x roads go straight on down grassy lane keep woods to your right take right turn at end of wood this brings you onto cheshire lines path turn left then turn left onto tarmac road its called plex moss lane go straight on at woodvale traffic lights just over railway bridge turn left onto pinewoods path this takes you to freshfield station its a lovely little ride for an after work wind down if you want to ride at rivington go into the tourist info at the great barn and buy a route map there laminated and only cost a pound I think[:D]
