Best PC Game?

New PC soon (after delay)

Its high enough spec to run pretty much any game.

So.....can anyone reccomend me a 1st person shooter and in general something with a bit of action/shooting/war/vechiles etc:D

F.E.A.R its corr blimey scary, and an fps. no vehicles i dont think, at least none player controllable, but tthe interface is cool, shooting locks and leaning round corners and stuff.

One of my uni mates was playing this 'Stalker' the other day, that looked pretty awesome and is pretty new I think.

its not zombie or anything like that, just uber eeire, and it plays with the mind, the bad guy is a telepathic cannibal though, haha.

but you could be walking down a corridor and a ceiling tile would fall down and youre like WTF then the light flickers and then this crackling noise comes over your comm, then a wee girl appears and runs at you, the disintegrates [xx(]

Always loved Quake.

Not sure what 4 is like, but Q3 Arena was may favourite game for years.

I'm playing Hidden and Dangerous 2 at the moment. Don't buy it, its full of bugs to the extent that its actually impossible to complete levels.

On 2 occasions I've had objectives like 'Kill all enemy in the base' Only to find that the very last enemy soldier can't be killed. Bullets just go right through him, and he doesn't acknowledge that you're there. Forcing you to restart.

Stalker is set in Chernobyl, and its like a battle between you, several gangs and the Russian army to get something out of Chernobyl. It's go anywhere, like GTA and really good graphics.

stalkers awesome too, was just about to reccomend that, but kinda buggy.

and since charcaters have their own lives, yuo could be told, 'go kill serj bahagoba' by mr fandarddfg, so you do, then when you come back, hes being eaten by something. thats so annoying, then your logs full of incomplete missions [:(]
