I was In the middle lane doing like 60 as visibility was very poor, and I suddenly hit a huge build up of water going over all 3 lanes, I aquaplaned for like 20 meters and drifted right over to the slow lane, it was pretty scary.     Your incident sounds a lot more epic though, did it do any damage to the car?

    i was out in my new car and was doing about 30 down a country lane, as soon as i planted it to get to 60 i hit water aquaplaned to old mans stamp collection corr blimey myself then slowed the foook down haha

    Seemed OK at the time, it's making some strange knocking noises now though, when you set off from slow speeds.

    Run good old 155 width tyres like my hyundai accent, great for cutting through big puddles, good for sod all else though.....
