Mosh Ball

Back in the day, the yr11 boys at Framwellgate School Durham invented the single greatest break time game ever: Mosh Ball
What you need:
-a selection of finely tuned morons
-a handhled object, preferably a tennis ball. This is 'The Mosh'
The idea is to hold onto the mosh for as long as you can. The rest of the players aim to extract the mosh from the person with the mosh using rugby tackles and then a 'pile on' will ensue until the person with the mosh submits and drops the mosh. Somebody else will pick the mosh up and the game repeats.
It is highly enjoyable, essentially rugby with no rules or objective other than demonstrating your alpha male-ness.
Go forth and mosh!

We had a game called TIT.
Basically keepie-uppies but whenever you break the chain you get a letter. Starting with T. Once a person reaches TIT they are proclaimed as a massive boob and they are beaten to the ground.
Fun times.

We had British Bulldog. Basically it was about 50 of us, vertically the whole year apart from the chess club crew, and we'd run randomly after one another over the football field doing sliding tackles, pushes or throws untill someone had achieved a takedown. For the person who was decked it was kind of law for them to stand back up instantly otherwise punches and diving knee strikes would almost certainly be delivared.
It was wierd tho, the school hardman/bully whatever always used to watch from behind the trip fench away from the field with his so solid crew and never got involved. Although even if he did no one would be brake enough to take him down.

we played some thing where 10 people pair up with each other and cross arms and hold ( if you know what I mean ) then stand in a line , 5 on one side 5 on the other. another person would jump on the bed of arms and we would all chuck them upwards. it bloody hurt when you fall on your head and shit

2 years ago, when i was in year 8, we played a game called Columbia, where you threw a tennis ball against a wall, and if it hit you, or you dropped it, you needed to run to this pole thing, and everyone was smacking you in the face and back and stuff.
Then we played decker which is where if the ball went through your legs, you got on "decker" and you needed to run to a tree with people smacking you.
Now we just play football on this field thing, and everyone just rugby tackling and slide tackling for the ball

I knew that one as Murder Ball. Except it wasnt a free for all, you had 2 nets and 2 teams. You had to get the ball in the opposite net by any means going.
There was also, 'Beat the Letter'. One team had to make a word, each had to take a letter, you had to catch them, beat them until they gave you their letter [if they gave it up straight away you beat them anyway], whilst they tried to get away. When you got all the letters you assembled the word and you won, then the teams swapped over.

Yeah - I played Bulldog prettymuch every lunchtime too in Yr 8/9/10 of Mount Grace in Herts... about 30 of us each day... except when it was raining when i went into the library to 0wn sixthformers at chess.
Also played a game ball game called 'Trials' every day while queuing for Registration involving two people...
* Each of the two opposing players started at their 'base' - usually the swinging doors at each side of the long corridor
* A ball was put exactly in the middle of the corridor, equidistant between the two players
* Someone would shout Go
* Each of the two players would leg it toward the ball to try to grab it and drag it back to the opponent's base
* Normally both players reach the ball at prettymuch the same time in which case there's normally a fight to grab it
* Players can stop their opponent from getting to their base buy any means
* Punching and kicking etc is totally allowed, so either have to be careful who you play with and not get caught/suspended
* Even if you're holding the ball, if your opponent manages to drag you back to your base, they still win.
* If you don't have the ball [or worm-out] your opponent is still permitted to attack you in the confines of 1st floor of H-block
This game was highly organised in my school, and I was pretty good at it, although there were two people out of thirty-odd in my form i'd try very hard to not play against on account that they were total fucking psycho's. Whenever i was fixtured against them before afternoon registration on thursday or whatever I'd normally try to ensure i was in Science detention or something. Yeah... it was a worm thing to do.... but wasn't keen on getting my head cracked against a door.
One of the fag's in my form had his wrist broken playing it one day... after it healed, he started playing it again and had the wrist broken again in the same place... resulting in a load of pins having to be drilled in.
Variation of the game is with two people on each side... although it doesn't work as well.
Can also be played outside.

me and my mates have a balls of steel knd of game going on. if you have seen the show you will know what i mean. basically we do stupid stuff to see who has the biggest balls of steel. for instance human rodeo, you have to jump on a random persons back and stay there until they buck you off, whoever can do it longest with out getting caught by a teacher wins. we do stupid stuff like that. another one is see who can get the person to move quickest, you go over to a random person stood on there own and start doing anything you can to make them move away from you. you can do anything as long as you dont touch them, hahaha, bulldog was good aswell

Used to play "Prison Rules Football"
Essentially football but where you are allowed to do anything except pick the ball up and stuff like that. Violent football essentially.
In primary school we played rugby on the concrete for a day till it was banned.

Murder Ball was where it was at.
Rugby, but with uber violence.

we played a game called painball, which basically entailed having someone launch a cricket ball as high as humanly possible, and the goal was to be the one to catch it.
i'll leave someone else to do the maths on how high you can throw said cricket ball and how fast its travelling by the point of impact.0 -
prison rules football ftw. Litterally drop kicking people in the head/knees/back etc instead of tackles. Was immense, the funniest occasion of this i was though was when a fight broke out after a particularly bad tackle, this was proceeded by a member of staff running ove into the crowd around the fight, only to get dropkicked themselves. Funny times, as for games, just getting beaten up by upper years, and dishing it out to lower years consisted of my breaks (up until about year 10), whether this be, by giving "posties" placing the victims legs either side of the goal posts, then get about 3 people on each leg and drag backwards, or other hilarious antics such as the classic "bundles". British Bulldog was so Year 5.

You know where you have two doors at an entrance? So you would step in through one set of doors, take a few steps then be presented with another set of doors to fo through. This made a small 2x4 room that we used to play the game in.Untill a fat kid went trough one of the glass doors....

We used to have a tiny wee cupboard as our common-room. It was off a long corridor and had no door. We'd all stand against the wall opposite the common-room enterence and when a suitable victim was to walk past us, we'd shove them into the common-room and keep them there all lunch. We used to build up quite a collection of innocent by-passers. muahaha

we play "everyone gets in a circle and throws a ball as hard as they can at another player in the circle, if this player drops the ball then everyone just punches and kicks him untill they bleed, break bones or get bruied." Good times.

we just play normal football, but theres fights in that anyway. playing football against people you hate FTUW. So it basically ends up as prison rules football or whatever, we just dont call it that

You's are twisted, no one played semi?
Netball courts, the Semi circles at each end were safe, so you couldn't get tigged there. And there's was one person who was "It" in the middle, and you had to get from one base to the other without getting tigged, if you were tigged you were on. Bloody brill game haha.
Tans was good, essentially kicks and volleys but whoever fucked up got a ball kicked at their arse by everyone and was in net next time 'round.

when i was in year 11, at break we stood near our sports hall and opposite us next to the art block where the year 10's and between us was about 25m of open grass. so one day we started launching apples and potatoes at them and it ended up being a massive fruit fight every break for the whole year.0
