Currently Toyota and JCB are pushing it Honda are looking at it again as are others with exception of China. Toyota are actually on 2nd generation production vehicles.

Yeah. If China's not bothering then I'm not sure JCB can turn the tide. Think it will be the Minidisk of the 2020s.

Hope not.

Current thought process is to use it in high energy industry and those industries that actually need it. Also for aviation fuel.

That makes a bit more sense.

Hydrogen and aviation. What could possibly go wrong. 😂
Said mostly in jest as times move on and it is coming.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
Glad to report that our new A rated dishwasher cosumed 0.66kWh on the Eco cycle last night. The older machine was 1.26kWh so almost double new machine. Happy with that. 0.66kWh was what was stated on the specs for that cycle so glad it was accurate and I can confirm it.
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

What were their respective cycle times? It amazes me how long my dishwasher takes on the eco cycle.

About 3hrs 25mins apparently!! Old one was about 3hrs or just under. Goes on before bedtime so little consequence. Opens door at end to aid drying too.
I even used the App to turn it on from bed. Just because I could.

I looked into this a while ago to see why (or if) a long eco cycle is more efficient. From memory the dishwasher tabs contain both detergents and enzymes. The detergents need hot water to work best (non eco cycle), while enzymes can work at lower temps, but need longer work, hence the need for looong eco cycles. Most of the energy (unsurprisingly) is used to heat the water.
Similar for laundry, but the savings could be less when factoring in possible increased wear and tear on laundry and the machine itself.
That might be the most times I’ve typed cycle(s) on this cycling forum.

Very happy with the new Tumble Dryer. It's an AEG 7000 TR708L0B Freestanding Heat Pump dryer.
Put in a load of double sheets and duvets and pillow cases etc plus a few extra bits. Straight from WM after a 1400 spin and put it on Eco mode. Used 0.9kWh to dry. So roughly 23 pence. I can live with that!

But they would have got a good airing outside today!
