Not sure how you see misogyny in the cycling gongs history. Queen Vic (2 Olympic golds) is clearly overgonged vs Thomas (2 Olympic golds plus the Tour) and the Froomedog (multiple Tours).
The favouring of Olympic golds vs other sporting success is just a choice by the Powers the Be that doesn't seem inherently skewed in favour of the guys.
On this subject though, it's somewhat odd that the six GB female rowing gold medallists (quad scull and lwt double) from Paris have been awarded MBEs whereas none of the eight guys from the winning GB 8 have been gonged.
Also odd that Alex Yee isn't upgraded to OBE when Pidders and Duncan Scott (swimmer) have been.
