Campag Shamal Carbon

I ordered some campag shamal carbon wheels from Chicken Cycles and got the wrong freehub so exchanged for the correct one.

First set of wheels were perfect but the second set appears to have been subject to some rather 'agricultural' sanding on the rim bed where the carbon has been joined. I assume this has been done to smooth the rim bed and prevent any punctures but it just looks crap and is not a level of finish I'd expect on a campag product.

The wheels also came in an unbranded box and without the campag certification swing tags. I am not worried about them being a genuine product, but more whether these have been returned by someone previously and even whether the sanding job has actually been done during campag production ?

Any thoughts? As it is just cosmetic and internal so can't be seen once a tire is mounted, would you just put up with it or should I get in touch with cc and see what they say?
