Camera for riding and commuting

Hi, has anyone got a suggestion for a bike camera for use when commuting and riding in general? If it can pair up as a camera for recording footage when MTB'ing thatd be a bonus but no problem if not.

Looking mainly at the cycliq ones or the garmin varia rct715

thanks

If you need a camera that can fulfill multiple roles, the Garmin Varia RCT715 may be a good choice. In addition to capturing video, it has a taillight and alerts you to nearby traffic - useful safety features. One potential downside is the battery life isn't as long when the recording function is active. For mountain biking specifically, some prefer the GoPro Hero11 Black due to its image stabilization, which helps produce smoother footage over rough terrain.

  • I would avoid cycliq ,they are plagued with issues and customer service is terrible .

Last rear 1 I had lasted 1 ride and had water inside it .

You need to send it to.Australia and it takes forever

Go with garmin or go pro ,the new Garmin radar with the camera looks good ,I use tge rear garmin radar without the camera and it's great

  • Beg to differ - I have one of the new Cyclig Fly6Pro rear cameras - quality of recording absolutely unbelievable. Features and spec way in advance of previous models. Also, battery life way in excess of either Garmin or Go Pro.
