There's always the "off" button. Much like a sprinter stage in the TdF.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
Meh. I watch one every 4 years.
I guess there aren’t many tactics. It doesn’t look like following confers much if any advantage and it seems the course naturally just stretches out the race.

Sometimes it's fun to watch. This one wasn't.

Was almost inevitable he'd lose after the BBC hyped it up so much.

So true, but 2/100ths of a second off, so tiny.
At least he seems content with what he has achieved.

Amazing to see the whole field was separated by less than a second when Peaty at his fastest has gone over 2 seconds faster.

PFP was sensational - quite concerned when she went SO early, but she was well in control and consistently pulled away - kept expecting to see Pietersen start reeling her in, and then of course she had that unfortunate puncture that robbed her of a medal completely - great to see the camaraderie across the line, the embrace between silver and bronze, latterly joined by PFP was heart warming, as it was to see quite how emotional it was for her when it came to the actual ceremony.
Such a different race to the one 3 years ago with a Swiss clean sweep, and PFP falling down the order to something like 10th and some 4+ minutes off the winning time.
She's monumentally turned things around - be very interested to see how the road career part deux goes.
Stunning French kit as well I thought.
Evie came on really strong at the end, but iirc her start had her down outside of the top 10, and it was just a smidge to far to challenge for a medal - 7th last time, 5th this, medal in 2028 hopefully.

The French kit looks gorgeous. Would be amazing to have someone take the fight to SD Worx and Vollering (and whatever team she will be going to).

Every tabloid headline writer must have been gutted last night as they could not longer use "repeaty" or "three-peaty" this morning!

Normally Visma.
She's come a long way from when she was the black sheep of this forum.

It seems the road/track kit for the French team is different to what graced PFP - can't see what she wore for sale anywhere sadly. I'm not a fan of red, but I would wear that kit, though it would clash with every bike I have :-(
I do have the PFP designed Bioracer jersey, which is rather pleasant, and have one to gift to my daughter for her birthday - showed her the 'My journey, my jersey' video yesterday.
I still think the rainbow stripes suit her the best though.
I've always adored PFP.

Is it in the rules somewhere for both MTB and cross that Pidcock needs to get a shit start and then come back through the pack?

Don't want to tempt fate but already has that air of Pidcock just biding his time before he rides off and leaves them all behind.

Yeah, kind of already looks like gold/silver are decided, barring crashes/mechanicals.

Surely he's gonna win still? These are only mountain bikers he's up against.
