Don’t quite know how I’m going to see tomorrow’s stage.
At boss’ BBQ which is 2hrs away so away from 10-7pm, and then obviously it’s the football.
might watch the highlights in the morning

One from earlier in the race (Galibier?)

Casual fans. Pfffft.

The W/Kg boys seem to think this might be Pog's best ever. I don't really hold much stock with that stuff (the riders know what they're actually doing) but it seems to back up the idea that it wasn't actually a bad day for Vingegaard but a super one for Pog. And yeah, I'd guess he got his feeding right this time 😉

Click bait and cod science all round. As you rightly say, only Pogacar and his performance team know his actual numbers.

Vingegaard is too good for this to mean too much. It's a great win for Pogacar, but the race is far from over. Vingegaard may be able to take all this time back on the Col de la Bonette stage alone if Pogacar implodes like he did the last two years.
If Pogacar only ever has slightly bad days and doesn't completely implode, he should be able to comfortably bring it home. Would make a ton of sense to let VLAB try and gain time now and then counter attack.

i dunno I think baring an accident or mistake it’s done. 2 mins is a lot and Vingers really collapsed in that final km
We had the tantalising prospect of the pendulum swinging back towards vingers but it seems that was a blip rather than a passing of form and fate between the two

The thing with pendulums is they keep swinging.

The difference this year (other than Pog and Vings relative form) are the teams. Vingegaard got huge assistance from his team in both his wins - that's not to say they made the difference but they certainly made a difference. This year the boot is on the other foot.

Visma-Lease a Bike's budget is half that of UAE apparently. It shows. If their A team isn't fit, there's no one in the B team who can/is trusted to step up. Irrespective of whether Vingegaard has the form or not, if he does want to win, he's going to have to engineer a winning position with minimal team support.

Unlikely, but based on 2023 possible. I suspect JV hasn’t had the opportunity to spend as much prep time on the last TT

More likely IMO.

There's no way Jonas takes two minutes out of Pog on the final TT unless something has gone desperately badly for Pog. JOnas lives and trains in Denmark, Pog lives and trains on the TT route. He'll know every bend, every rough patch of tarmac, every gravelly spot. He's going to fly on it.

I don't think things are balanced, but I don't think they're over. Some tours you'd be saying you could stick a fork in it by now, but neither the gap nor the performances are far apart enough to say that yet. I just hope Covid doesn't interfere, because this one deserves to work itself out properly.

Vingegaard will have to have made up the time before the TT to win. There is still ample opportunity for that. I still maintain this race is far from over.
That being said it's an uphill battle obviously. Not because Pogacar has improved so much from year to year, which he has, but rather, if six weeks of preparation was good enough to win the Tour, he would just do that every year instead of building for months towards the Tour. He has been much better than he has any right to be.

If you correct jonas needs a pog collapse and how that can happen without visma having a team that can put pressure on I don't know

Not sure the what the point is that you are trying to make.
I would have stuck with their A team isn't fit. Kuss probably being the key missing component, but WVA, who is there, just isn't at his usual level. Both are irreplaceable, regardless of budget.

It can happen through overconfidence. That's partly what happened the other day - Pog attacked, cashed cheques his fuelling couldn't afford, ended up absolutely hanging.

Tom Danielson (remember him?) making a point that he feels that when doing back to back tours, your second tour starts weaker but you gain strength in the second half

The difference is last year Vin didn’t look Knackered at this stage (which he did yesterday) and Pog hasn’t had a gap anywhere near as wide as this since 21
he maybe ‘good’ but Pog will either Wheel suck or win each stage
