Following last night’s consultation with orthopaedic consultant now booked for shoulder op on 23rd. He’s not sure whether the muscle is too far gone to successfully repair. Apparently when it’s 50% deterioration you can’t fix it, mines somewhere between 25% and 50% according to the scan. However worse case is that the joint gets cleaned out. So now mulling what do I need to do before the 23rd as I could be wearing a sling for 6 weeks.
I think it might be try and get as fit as possible before then.

My first ever 10 was in the same region is it's any comfort. Though I was 18 and it was in nineteen eleventy twelve.
I got it down to 24.16 on a course that wasn't exactly flat. Hated TT's. Just used them for fitness. I was une grimpeur, not a TTer.

To answer the question in the thread title, the end of a short dry spell. Gopping here and the chances of a decent ride over the long weekend look slimmer than Arsenals chances of winning a European Cup.
Got a corporate jolly next month down in Malage and am tacking on the weekend as a mate lives down there. Better buy some suncream.

Back of knee recovering from suspected saddle aft tweak without reducing BB to saddle top enough to take account of tweak, during Tuesday's surprisingly long ride, surprisingly quickly. Half expected to be limping for weeks, so bit of a "woot" moment!
Had a fifth tooth removed yesterday, almost certainly as a result of my RTA just over 10 years ago, just like the other four. Infection spotted in recent checkup, dentist removed weird "sack" after tooth which contained the infection.😲
Dilemma of afternoon is do I head out for a gentle spin on the damp South Downs lanes, if I do should I risk melting the road bike or take the hybrid, or wait for slightly warmer and drier weather tomorrow which also gives my body/knee more time to recover from unplanned Tuesday's 75Km ride?🤔

It's Friday but I'm in the orifice for my sins, got bloody soaked wobbling in, the weather really has been pisspoor this 'spring'. EPO is out later so I have to fend for myself, which of the local hostelries I attend is the burning question.
Well done on the TT Mr Summers, hope you enjoyed it.
Roll on the long weekend, hope it gets a little drier outside. I doubt my insides will dry out.
