Ben Habib has a better idea than Rwanda. This is genuinely worth watching.

If we deported every fucker who had no humanity we would have room for the asylum seekers.

Career is a grandiose term for co Deputy leader of a political party that won't gain any seats at an election.
(Although I do think they will gain a disappointingly high number of votes)
Genuinely surprised that JHB appears to have at least a reasonable grasp of the issue here though.

It's intriguing whether he actually thinks that deliberately drowning people is a good idea on principle, or whether he thinks that is what will attract votes.
Fair play to JHB for coming armed ready with the scenario to expose his utter inhumanity, and being prepared to press the point.

Brilliant idea. So which Kangaroo Court decides who gets kicked out?

The same one that’s trying the deputy leader of the Labour Party, would that do for you.😉

Courts? Arbitrary Executive Decision, surely?

The cannabis farms operating in every town are almost exclusively operated by Albanian illegal migrants. You may or may not consider that a bad thing for thr UK...
0 -
Great that’s a data point.
I think eventually people need to recognise that, as Hartley-Brewer points out, short of killing people, you can’t keep them out.
So you might as well make it legal so you can police it more easily, so the wronguns who have to still come illegally are easier to pick out.
Additionally, this is surely the main argument for ID cards.

To what end? Given the nature of their immigration status, they will have to work in the underground economy...so yes, of course it's bad for the UK (and likely bad for the immigrants in question).
Would an amnesty or similar fix that? Possibly, but that's politically unworkable.

I suspect a policy of ‘let them all stay’ might lead to even more risking their lives to get here.
0 -
Sure, it has to be combined with a policy of faster processing of new arrivals with the desire that at least a good number would be candidates for sending back home.

Do you know this for a fact? I'm no longer in touch with these things but in my day it was anybody and everbody having a go.

I don't get the opposition to ID cards. The vast majority of us carry one anyway in the form of a driving license.
Also a requirement in a lot of other countries.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
About 40% of population don't have a driving license.

I still don't see any reason for objection.

Yes, literally 100% of cannabis farmers encountered in my professional capacity these days are Albanian.
A few years ago a lot of them were Vietnamese but you never seem to see many these days. Goodness knows where they all went (presumably not back to Vietnam).

This is not specifically about illegal immigration, but this will make 'interesting' reading for those who have assumed that immigration is always economically beneficial:
What evidence do you have that llegal immigration is beneficial?

By definition, almost all illegal immigrants are deported or hidden/not recorded surely?
0 -
Clearly not from what I’ve read. They get given a house £30k benefits and steal our jobs.

Sweet deal, they should all be retired by 35.

An article in a newspaper thats descended to Mail / Express levels, quoting a report by a commission set up by Liz Truss, is evidence?
Got anything from a creditable source?

I often get that sort of response when people are struggling to rebut the specific points. Which bits do you disagree with?

You often resort to this yourself.

Do you want have a go at rebutting the point?

No, I've not even read it. I'm just giving the artistic impression mark.

That's fine. No rebuttals so far.

I thought I would read the article for a laugh, but there is absolutely nothing in it to back up how they have came to the conclusion on immigration, or the bit about cutting IHT driving growth. Just a lot of very specific figures that their modelling came up with, with no word of how. The commission is also bankrolled by some pretty dodgy sorts, climate change deniers et al. There are more red flags than a Chinese Communist Party meeting.
I don't think anyone needs to rebut anything Liz Truss says.
