Michael Woods is the fourth oldest stage winner this century (Vasseur is the oldest - 64 days older than Woods). Cavendish would have been the oldest had he won on this Tour.

Michael Woods is the oldest MTF winner since Raymond Poulidor. (also that the first MTF at the Tour was in 1952)

Michael Woods struggles to ride 'no hands'. Runners, eh?

Bernal is certainly not looking good in this tour. Is he saving himself for a bit of domestic work now?

He did a huge turn for Pidders and Carlos on the stage to Cauterets

Showed some interest in getting in the break yesterday - shame he didn't as the final climb would have given us a good measure of his level.

Bernal is a decent descender. The stage 10 finish could suit him well enough if he can Carapaz himself into a break.

An interesting hypothesis building on the Never Strays Far podcast.

They suggested Tom Pidcock could win a mountain stage with a descent, and there's a few of them in the Alps, starting with the stage into Morzine later this week
