The large chasing group should have pulled the break back on the headwind dual-carriageway section but no-one seemed prepared to commit. Ganna now trying to pull it back but break has 38" with 52km to go.

45 km to go, 46 seconds lead. I think they will stay away, but it's really hard to call atm.

3 amigos go clear on the Paterberg. Mohoric might catch back on.

Pog forces the pace, MVDP hangs in comfortably but WVA looked to be finding it harder. Mohoric trying to get back on the descent. Kwaremont next.

Mohoric back. Looks to be between these 4 as the big chasing group is 50" back. As I say that the front 4 look to have eased meaning SKA and Van Hooydonck look like they'll get back.

Pog attacks as soon as they hit the Kwaremont, the two helpers go immediately then Mohoric and WVA struggling to hold on.

I reckon he'll get back unless MVDP does a pull (which he then does)

    Quite the ding-dong this

Pog animating this as you'd expect being the weakest in a sprint. Every time he accelerates WVA loses touch. Motorbike crashes and slows the attack.

Pog doing well. WvA yoyoing a bit

Ganna must be annoyed his positioning was poor when the break initially went away, as usual the riders behind seem to want to leave the chase to others and Ganna has been about the only one trying.

This could be a good three up sprint, it's going to start to get difficult to get away for Pog

9.5 km to go. WVA doing super short turns. Others don't seem bothered.

It's great that Movistar and FDJ both decided to go for the same wrong shade of blue for their kits, isn't it?

This is great stuff. Pog can't get rid of them, WVA not doing any work. Surely Wout wins a sprint in this situation??

WVA wins the sprint ahead of MvdP and Pog third.

Wout takes it, think they missed their chance to get rid of him on the Paterburg or Kwaremont when he looked vulnerable. Jorgensen had a good race to take 4th.

I agree. MvdP should have probably attacked over the top of Pog when WVA was struggling on the Paterberg. But it must be incredibly hard to actually get rid of WVA. He was cracking, but can just stay in that zone for such a long time to get back on.

Very much enjoying the Sky box deciding not to record the last 5 km

That's OK, you knew who was going to be on the podium by then.
