A tyre, some tubes, new track pump, new mini pump without a hose, CO2, multi tool, valve core tool.
I had a flat last night, used my last tube, my mini pump kept unscrewing the valve core, the tyre is cut up pretty badly and the wear indicator has disappeared. My multi tool has also disappeared. Maybe nicked.
Bike hire in Tenerife is more than I thought at EUR29 per day. The hire car is cheaper.
hurtling down a volcano, best be on something you can trustmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
We get a bit of pretty chunky old hardwood, various species, and some of it knotty. Borrowed one like this last time we had a few tonne delivered and it was awesome 😎orraloon said:^ Jings crivvens et al WS. That's a big boy. What size of logs are you splitting? I have a much smaller bench mount hydraulic splitter, fine for stove type firewood.
There’s a few dead eucalypts in the paddock around here, so we can tow this down near them, and pretend to be lumberjacks… LOLOpen One+ BMC TE29 Seven 622SL On One Scandal Cervelo RS0 -

I used to quite like that too, but just can’t do it any more. I have trouble using a plain old hammer. 😐tlw1 said:I like the manual route, it’s the only upper body work out I do!

Got the cheaper one in the end... this one, delivered next week sometime. There was a better one with a hydraulic lifting platform as well, but a lot dearer...Stevo_666 said:
Piccy please WS.Wheelspinner said:
Stopped off to buy a whizzo log splitter. Neither of us fancies swinging an axe any more, so have splashed out on a GBFO hydraulic jobbie which will make short work of it all."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
I've never used CO2. It'll fit in the saddle bag in case I forget my mini pump, or if it's really miserable/cold.pinno said:

It's mainly for the glass strewn roads here. I'll take the inflator and a pump to Tenerife. Pick up some cartridges there.Wheelspinner said:

Have a few practice runs with the CO2 inflator then it's bye bye mini pump.beansnikpoh said:

Have you got the variable 'tap' adapter?seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
Reminds me I have some CO2 cartridges from years back still in the garage."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

But you run tubeless no?oxoman said:Co2 is great till you run out. I still use a pump 1st unless the tyres unseated then a blast of Co2. Some people don't realise there mainly single use and do stick to hand in use if not wearing gloves or a cartridge sleeve.
I have an adapter with a control tap and use 16g cartridges which will inflate 2 tyres. The remaining CO2 will stay in the cartridge indefinitely.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

Yes i run tubeless but never had an issue just topping up with standard pocket rocket or similar. Never managed to find a C02 inflator that holds the left over gas after using whats required. Weldtite, Ebay / PX specials etc, so just use as a 1 shot thing when / IF i get one unseated when out or replacing tyres at home.pinno said:

My second water bottle cage has a tool bottle in it, identical to this. I never forget.oxoman said:That's about 4 times what mine usually cost. Suspect I'll still with mini pump as that doesn't suffer from empty or forgotten cartridge syndrome.
