16 I would have gone with Eric Heiden first, knowing he had good pedigree in skating but not sure he ever did any track. So I second the opinion it's likely to be a woman so will go with Marianne Vos.

It's a woman... but not Vos.

21 the late Chris Anker Sørensen

Had to dig around for that, via Fortuneo Vital Concept being 2016-17

I had a look at the results of a couple of those races, but couldn’t see any pattern…

I got it via googling. They are all races featuring a Gianni Moscon controversy

Yes, 'Loon. The lurgy hasn't effected cognitive capacity much.

    32. Was it something like col de la mont Bonnet?
Don’t know the height exactly and refusing to google so my guess is 2,890m

Polka dot took a flyer off a bend on the descent.

'Bonnette' but yes and you're close with the height.: 2860M.

Cime de la Bonette. Actually the road is 2802m. I've got the photo to prove it.
But does that include the random loop they added to the road just to make it higher though?

I remember the climb as it was quite stunning and the descent was interesting.
Yes. The col is 2715m the road around the Cime 2802m, and the peak of the Cime 2680m.

You missed a trick if you didn't do the descent/climb the other side too. Nearly everyone does just the one side, but the other side is fantastic too.

Well done doing there and back over the Restefonf/Bonette in one ride, I'm impressed. Like you say, the St Etienne side is impressive, and I imagine almost as challenging going up too.
A few years ago, I did Barcelonette to St. Etienne as part of a sort-of '1-2 passes- a-day' week-long trip. On the way up, I knew I would make it fine to the top when I passed the sign saying I was now at 2000 m and still feeling comfortable; it is the only place along a road that I can remember where a sign tells me what round number elevation I have just reached.

We made the ride slightly longer than necessary by starting from Barcelonette. The most silly profile for the best part of 11k ft of ascent. And you'll notice I didn't do the Cime on the return leg, as it's a punishing 10/11% just to go round the loop.

If you start another bloody thread, it's own your own volition, don't bloody well blame me.
I start new threads 'cos I feel I have to and you start new threads because you're compelled to so you're just a serial thread starter with compartmentalisation, categorisation and classification tendencies. So there.
