Watched some vids by some Aussie bloke called Cam something or other yesterday. 3 or 4 of them while Zwifting.

I have honestly no idea what he was on about. Whole thing jumped around lke a frog on acid.

    Not really very recommended.

    Yeah, it's the autism innit.

The fact that he instigated some of this and his 'fanboys' all piled in says a lot.

    Yeah.

But he makes great bottom brackets....
Indeed, that's unforgivable regardless of how good his bottom brackets may be.

You may recall a few years ago he published a big aero wheelset debunking. He claimed to have acquired something like 50 sets of extremely high end wheelsets and run comprehensive wind tunnel testing on all of them.

Oh, he's an aerospace engineer, that makes sense, lots of people thought - including GCN.

This didn't make sense. Firstly, where did the wheels come from? Secondly, does anyone really think Airbus lets staff use a wind tunnel after hours for pet projects? Particularly since he was claiming multiple off angle measurements for each wheel. Toto Wolf doesn't get that much wind tunnel time. So my guess is he generated some numbers in silico to demonstrate how numbers can be massaged or cherry picked, and his superiority complex meant he got offended whenever anyone challenged the right answers for what in his view was the wrong reason. How dare anyone question him, an aerospace engineer.

But I challenged him - on this forum somewhere.

I got the wheels from my friends, he said. I work in aerospace so I have access to a wind tunnel, he said.

Who paid for it, I asked?

I'm autistic, he said. You are a racist, he said.

I don't care if he's a good engineer and tackles topics of interest, people have enough other options on the interweb to ostracize such a consistently toxic person.

It actually isn't all that bad, but I was quite offended by the cheap shots.

I feel less singled out that he also thinks he can't post on Cycling Weekly's forum because of his ethnicity, nothing to do with misogynistic tirades against their senior employees.

Tbh, that whole thing was a bit of a damp squid.

Interesting to note that Hunts get a very low rating on many fronts though.

    Who woulda thunk it?

Yes it was not as bad as I remember. Then again, neither was I, which is nice.

I thought you were fine, tbh.

Hambini came across as trying to blind people with science when he got all defensive.

Tbh, he hasn't endeared himself to us.
