Nice... I hope he makes it... I never liked that record done in Aguascalientes.
he can really take advantage of computer simulations, wind tunnels and the likes, as on the road he has proved to be rather average. The kind of rider the UCI hates... no panache, all marginal gains

Fair play - am I reading it right that he's ridden the second furthest mark at the moment but it wasn't eligible for the UCI records because he wasn't in the anti-doping programme?

"Sadly his effort this time around wouldn't have counted for the official record as the UCI requires riders to be in the Registered Testing Pool or have an Athlete Biological Passport which Bigham, who doesn't ride in the WorldTour, didn't have this time around."

Personally I think he will break it this time.

And then, like a lot of people, I would really like to see Ganna (in top form) have a crack at it.

He needs a bit of luck... low pressure would help

There is something about him and the members of the team he used to run I really don’t trust . I cannot tell you why.

That says more about you than about Bigham.

I am sure that’s true 😀. It’s just IF his team had have been from Spain and did what it did on the track lots of people would think something was ‘ iffy ‘.
I am sure his current employer has done all their checks on him so he must be ok 😂

Really? It doesn't seem to me like Sky or British cycling get cut that much slack...

I cut British cycling a lot of slack , it’s Bingham and the Charlie Tanfield I don’t cut much slack.

Won't help you in a crash, but ultra lightweight. 😉
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

But is it aero? That's all Bigham cares about.

He's been in the wind tunnel to test, right? 😉

Will be on Ineos' youtube channel
  • Just tuned in. Fixed camera and no data.

Like watching a gif on repeat, seems pretty budget for a record attempt they've clearly put money into.

30 minutes in, he's 1.2 seconds off world record pace, which is what the commentator is saying is bang on his planned schedule - should be slightly ahead in a few more laps.

Turns out I know his friend Johnny Wale... he was in the same club as me when he was 16... I can't believe he is 31 already.
I think I dropped him up a climb... once
