Going to be a hottest one today. Staying cool in the cave and resting my legs after yesterday's exertions. Got the sparkys round installing some outside lights in the driveway, last bit of work on the house front for a while.

Warm this morning. Keeps the ageing legs loose on the ride in. Now enjoying the air conditioning at work. Weather forecast suggests 30 degrees and sunshine for the next 10 days.

Glorious day. Watching the crowds go up the hill to the tennis. I love summer, I wish it would stay forever.

    Happy glorious weekend everyone.

Do you work bang in the middle of Wimbledon then Seano? Or are you just hanging around crowd watching?

Mrs B3 is off to the tennis tomorrow (no 1 court), and Sunday (Men's final).

I wonder whether the two are connected? Unfortunately for Seano, your Mrs doesn't sound like a cheap date :p

I paid £10 for a bottle of wine the other day. Someone had put it in the wrong place on the shelf marked £6 and I couldn’t be @rsed to put it back. But still, I bought it 👍

Respect, Seano. Mind you, if they don't know how much it costs, any bottle of 'lady petrol' has a similar effect o:)

    Afternoon folks,
Busy day in the orifice, it's been a long week. Finally got through most of the nonsense from when I was off, now dealing with new nonsense. Wobbled in on the old roadie, straight to the pub at 5pm for a well earned drink.
Have fun TLW, looks great even in the4 relaxed layout shown. Must say the views from the top of the Gotthard coming back were the clearest I've ever seen.
Seano, enjoy the very different views you have

Yeah, but Seano is a cheap date, judging by what he pays for a bottle of wine

Actually Mrs. 666 (who hasn't had paid employment since 2001) pleasantly surprised me today. She'd told that she had some money knocking about in her old pension fund of the last place she worked at, and said it was something like £12k or £18k but she wasn't sure as the letter was a bit technical. Finally got round to showing me the letter and it's 17 years worth of final salary pension scheme that she can claim from January. The amount she quoted was the annual amount depending on whether she took a decent tax free lump sum or not. No more housekeeping money for you, luv >:)

That is a nice surprise, finding £12-18k per annum +/- a tidy lump sum "down the back of the sofa" so to speak. Well done Mrs 666.

Yup, she's self sufficient now. Just got to get junior out the door and working then my only dependents will have 4 legs.

That'll teach her to keep her mouth shut :)

Or is it non-dom money laundering? Who can tell.

Garage door lock mechs fitted and working on door #1, 1/2 way on #2, until I broke my correctly sized drill bit and no there are no more of the right size amongst the dozens or more like hundreds of assorted in the boxes, bags and cases. Been a bit of a faff as the lock bars are bigger than originals so guides and slots etc need to get widened. Still, more fun than sitting in front of a screen doing whatever. And I'm coffee breaking the now...

The only time my OH launders money is when she shoves my jeans in the wash without checking whether there's a tenner in the pockets.

Another big week of taxi duty finally over, just in time for the weather to turn rubbish. Finished wall panelling in the shed project I've been doing this week, got help to move the bench back into place and finished wiring in the relocated power on it. Big clean up and sort out of storage is my new weekend plan.

Also set up spare surround sound system in there with a bluetooth receiver to the amp. Keeping an eye out for a (used) monster sub-woofer to go with it.

    How about one of these?

Indeed, much application of that. 'Twas drilling the holes to fix the lock bars to the central mech which became problematic. Resolved the simple way, went and bought some more metal drills. All done. Now have lockable roller doors. Doubt would keep out bankrobbers but at least the pikeys can't now just walk in. One more job ticked on a v looong list.

Evening. Welcome to my weekly update. Whole day of a coaching CPD today (broken by sitting in on an exclusion meeting), turns out I’m well-respected and a damn good listener. Which is nice. Having worn the fake Rolex on and off, decided I didn’t like the fakery so bought myself a new chunky watch from Spinnaker. Arrived today. It’s nice and looks super chunky on my lady-sized wrist. Hound is not getting any less mad but him sleeping in our room has made it possible for us to get a proper night’s sleep.

Nice one JGTI. Spinnakers are quite popular in the WIS* world. Our junior hound managed to escape yesterday into one of the next door gardens where the local Rottweiler lives then couldn't get back. Cue rescue mission, luckily the Rotty is as soft as shyte and just wants to play. He also claimed his first bird kill since we moved house to retain his honorary cat status.

Whilst in Verona the other day I walked passed the Swatch shop, they still have a selection of the Omega colab moonswatch in the window. They've now added a little sign saying "display only, not for sale"
I thought they were meant to be on general release and not a limited edition. I guess they got caught out by demand and suspect any future releases will be more expensive and not just because of all the current supply chain issues
