Thought this was a thread about carbon rim wherls. ;)

I had the Primes on my shortlist in '18, but back then, I got a general vibe that the Prime carbon hubs were not so durable. Better now?

Oh you're not in one of those clubs where you don't talk to people unless they have a carbon bike no matter that they could have got a better ali bike and they have to earn the right to be spoken to are you and they sll think Ultegra is mega granular and sll wear club kit all the time?

I have a set of Prime alloys & Prime carbons on different bikes. Both seem to use exactly the same hubs as far as I can tell (certainly same bearings & process to change them).

The only issues I have had on either have been on the winter alloys. The sealing isn't all that & the bearings seized on the over a winter's use - probably user / maintenance error.

Changed, rebuilt and packed out with grease and not had that problem again. Carbon wheels I packed out with grease before I used them and have been fine.

No problems on Black carbon 90s either.

I have a white one. It has Zipp 404s on it, which is a nice way to bring us back on track.

    Circular, some may say

I think the Prime wheels use Novatec hubs, cartridge bearings that are easy to replace.

Yep, rebranded novatech. I have some RR-50s (which I think they have now rebranded as the 'black edition', certainly same rims/hubs) on my winter bike so ridden in all conditions and need changing about once a year, but it's an easy enough job
