    Hobble with hounds, last part of single parenting as the wife is back later.

    When work stuff is done it’s over to a neighbours for a bbq, who has timed it well for saving on ale costs as 4 of us either have a half or full marathon tomorrow

    Morning folks,
    Scorchio indeed, currently sat in a car on a train waiting for it to move. French France here we come, long and dull drive ahead of us, but it's worth it. Enjoy the sunshine everyone. TLW, drink loads of beer at the bbq later, it's carb loading with liquids.

    Cooler than I thought on the way in. Will be scorchio on the way home though.

    Currently sitting in the cave doing some work while the temp rises slowly but steadily. Fine for now but have my shorts to hand for later. There is a temptation to move outside this afternoon if I can find a shady bit so I can read my screen :)

    Morning all. El Scorchio here as well. Ducking and diving as usual without expending to much energy. Cold beers ready at home for later, they won't last long as young oxo has actually found a beer he likes. Don't envy anyone doing a half or full marathon tomorrow given the forecast. Enjoy your holiday V and I suspect you dodged one with the train change before you set off.

    Day at the beach went t!ts up. No1 son decided he rather go to school (WTAF!?) and No2 had a melt down because he didn’t want to go without No1. Anyway, a rare day off without family. Might go somewhere nice with a backdrop of promenading ladies in their summer dresses. I love summer 💕

    I should have gone ino town to work. Air con, free coffee and lots of ladies in summer outfits.

    End of year 6 dummy. All they’d be missing is watching finding Nemo and going to the park. Apart from the free child care there is literally no point them being there from a learning perspective.

    Bloody boring goody two shoes. How can your kids stand the excitement.

    My two would be the same. They love school. I dunno how I have managed to conceal my hatred of school and bunking off, going to the snooker hall etc etc.

    But you should take some credit in that they want to go, they want to see their friends and that means they have social confidence and a sense of place.
